The City of Elysian is currently accepting applications for the position of Public Works Maintenance Worker. The maintenance worker performs various tasks and is responsible for maintaining the City’s streets and storm sewer system, water system, parks, buildings, and other City properties to support the functions of the Public Works department. Minimum qualifications: Must possess a high school diploma or GED. Experience in a work environment with vehicle and equipment, general maintenance, and mechanical repairs.

PUBLIC NOTICE
SALE OF 1991 FORD F350 CUSTOM RESCUE TRUCK
The City of Elysian will be accepting bids for the sale of a 1991 4-wheel drive Ford F350 Custom Rescue Truck. The rescue truck has 128,663 miles on the odometer. The rescue truck is equipped with a generator and lights and has a pull-out storage box in the back.
The truck can be viewed at the City Shop property between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. Please contact City Hall at 507-267-4708 to schedule an appointment to view the vehicle.
To be considered, sealed bids are to be submitted to the City Hall by 4:30 pm on December 5, 2025. Bids will be awarded at the December 8, 2025 City Council Meeting at 6:30 pm. All equipment is sold in “as is” condition and the City of Elysian accepts no liability for the truck or equipment. The City will award the bid based on the bid price submitted.

Public Notice – Public Hearing
Truth in Taxation
Notice is hereby given that the Elysian City Council will hold a public hearing on Monday, December 8, 2025, at City Hall, 110 West Main Street, Elysian, Minnesota at 6:10 pm. The purpose of the hearing is to receive input on the 2026 Final Budget and Final Tax Levy for 2025 payable 2026.
All written and oral comment will be heard. Written comments may be dropped off at City Hall, mailed to Elysian City Hall, P.O. Box 246, Elysian, MN 56028, or emailed to lorri@elysianmn.com. Oral comments can be presented at the public hearing on Monday, December 8, 2025, as indicated above.
