Triathletes received their medals from Elysian's royalty at the awards ceremony Saturday morning.
Rookie's Triathlon is one for the record books published July 7, 2007 - 11:58 a.m. CDT updated with results links July 7, 2007 - 1:36 p.m. CDT updated with photo album July 7, 2007 - 6:35 p.m. CDT The Rookie's Triathlon hosted the biggest-ever field of entrants Saturday in Elysian. Athletes swam, biked, and ran during the 24th annual event which incorporates Lake Francis and Sakatah Singing Hills Trail into the challenge. Todd Landgraff of North Mankato was the top men's finisher with a time of 50:53:07. Catherine Lee of Minneapolis was the top women's finisher with a time of 56:40. A new timing system was used this year. Each athlete wore a band bearing a computer chip which recorded their time at five locations throughout the race.
