National Night Out - 2010
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped out with National Night Out. We had a huge turn out. Perhaps the biggest surprise of the evening was a visit from the Mayo 1 helicopter. People got a chance to sit in the cockpit, and to see the back where patients are transported. Many people and businesses donated gifts, money and door prizes: Pop, water and toys - Mack and Jan Evans (they organized and hosted the event as well); sports apparel - Chuck Jamerson; T-shirts and caps - Fischer's Corner Bar (they prepared and served the food as well); tattoos for kids - Tanya Peterson; beach towels - Elysian Auto Shop; and gifts of money from the Elysian Chamber of Commerce, Marge Pribyl, Roger Hanson, American Legion Post 311, city employees, and the City of Elysian.
