Families enjoy Shopping with Claus breakfast and boutique
Wind swept snow and ice didn't deter shoppers from driving into town Saturday to enjoy one of Elysian's favorite Christmas traditions. If anything, the first storm of the season heightened holiday spirits and brought the community together. The Elysian firefighters had a great breakfast ready to warm shoppers before they browsed through a holiday boutique featuring over 700 items created by local crafters and members of Lake Area Women. The group sponsors the annual event which also includes photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus and a goodie bag for each child, compliments of Nu Chek Prep. The family event is free of charge to children ages 2 through 3rd grade. Proceeds from the holiday boutique go toward community beautification projects.
Bobby McFall, Elysian portrait photographer, snapped a few shots
