Rookie's Triathlon

Elysian's 22nd Annual

July 9, 2005

The 22nd Annual Rookie's Triathlon brought a record number of athletes to Elysian. 

This event attracts participants from the area and around the country. 

270 competitors took up the challenge to swim .4 mile, bike 8 miles and run 4 miles.   

David Lyon was the first competitor across the finish line.  His time was 51:27. 

Catherine Lee won the women's division with a time of 57:40. 

The event is presented by the Elysian Area Chamber of Commerce.
