Alley Scoops
Joanne Hansen and employee, Stephanie Conroy, pose with a replica of the popular treat served up at Alley Scoops. The Flavor Burst cones aren't enormous like the one appearing in the photo, but response to the local ice cream shop sure has been. Now in her fourth season as an Elysian business, proprietor Hansen says Alley Scoops is a favorite destination for local people and those coming through town on the trail. Mayor Mack Evans and EDA board member, Carole Morsching, stopped in to congratulate Hansen on being the August Business of the Month, a new program designed to encourage local shopping and showcase Elysian stores worldwide via the city's web site.
